Release Date, Leaks & Everything We Know So Far – Effinate Games

Ever since it was officially acquired by Electronic Arts (EA) back in 2017, Respawn Entertainment haven’t made a single new one Titan fall. Although the acquisition does not seem to be a particular reason for it. The first Titan fall the game was a commercial success. And the second one, while not on the same level as the original, also sold remarkably well.

The franchise has average reviews that make it critically acclaimed. Therefore, at first glance, it seems that the series has got it all. But it’s confusing when you figure it out Titanfall 3the predicted smash hit sequel, still lingers as nothing more than an idea.

Months after the second game launched, rumors of the third installment spread like wildfire. Naturally, fans went with it, expecting the Mecha shooter sequel to be in their hands in a few years. Alas, six years later, all the guaranteed confirmations are nothing today. Not surprising is the view of Titanfall 3 looking as grim as ever but is it really too late for the next post? Never.

Has Titanfall 3 been officially confirmed by Respawn?

unfortunately, Respawn has not announced that Titanfall 3 is under development. Judging by the studio’s current slate of its future titles, it doesn’t look like the sci-fi series will be returning anytime soon either.

Well, that’s the current impression as it stands. In response to these growing concerns of fans, Respawn issued a statement in late 2021; about how Titanfall still remains part of their “core DNA”.

According to them, they are still very focused on the series. But it’s pretty strange considering we’ve heard nothing but hopeful wishes for a sequel for the past half-decade or so.

Instead, we’ve seen more and more of their battle royale game Apex Legends. And Respawn also seems to have the single player market in their hands now, ever since the successful launch of their first narrative-driven IP, Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, onto the market.

Apex Legends, the spiritual successor

Back in 2017, when Fortnite revolutionized gaming by starting a trend for the Battle Royale mode, genre fever eventually caught up with EA. With that, EA and Respawn Entertainment evolved Apex Legends as a foothold in the category. Launched in 2019, the game became a commercial success and still enjoys a huge number of players averaging in the millions every month.

Apex Legends

How to do it now Titanfall 3 exactly come into play here? At first, everyone was under the impression that Apex Legends would be the third installment. So it came as a surprise when IP Apex Legends was formally announced.

Although Apex Legends was revealed to be a completely separate experience, it was later revealed that it actually takes place in the Titan fall universe. That statement was confirmed when we finally saw Ash, one of the antagonists of Titanfall 2is added to Apex Legends as a playable character in the eleventh season.

But apart from the clear confirmation, there are plenty of other references in the game. Another is that Wraith and Bloodhound from Apex Legends both have a Gen 10 Titan Pilot badge on their suits.

So a lot of footnotes about both games taking place in the same universe are present. It’s enough to think that Apex is really a spiritual successor to Titan fall franchise.

Respawn is booked with Star Wars

As we mentioned above, Respawn has entered the single player market. They released Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order in 2019 and the game was a huge hit. Its inspiration from the Souls series created by From Software, at first felt like a creepy way to bring the galaxy far, far away to life. But the studio’s quirky spin on the systems made the experience something completely new on many fronts.

Some time later, a sequel was announced with a teaser. So at the moment all hands at Respawn are busy polishing Star Wars: Jedi Survivor. While that may be good news for most, it’s yet another embarrassing scoop for fans looking forward to Titanfall 3.

In addition to Jedi Survivor, Respawn is also working on several other Star Wars-related IPs. One game is a first-person shooter, while the other appears to be a strategy-type title.

That makes a total of four Star Wars games under Respawn’s belt. And once again it points to them being booked for another year or two. To push a potential Titanfall 3 project even further.

EA ends multi-game deal with Marvel

Due to the glorious success EA has had with Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, the company has now signed a multi-title agreement with Marvel to similar new single-player IPs. Three games in total are to be developed by EA’s studios. First among them is a third-person action-adventure title about Iron Man.

That was revealed by EA Motive Studio, known for Star Wars: Squadrons & Star Wars Battlefront II, will handle the project. So in this sense EA is finally starting to like single player experiences. And it is very contrary to what the company does previously made known.

But shifting focus towards more single-player titles doesn’t do much for the case Titanfall 3 except to delay it. Although, yes, they could potentially make a better story mode for the third part when that happens.

EA isn’t known for its narrative games, so it will be interesting to see what it ends up doing with this option. And depending on whether the company’s future single-player IP endeavors prove fruitful, we may or may not see Titanfall 3a multiplayer game, appears quickly.

Regardless, Respawn’s occasional Tweets about Titan fall raises some hope. Specifically, it makes you wonder if they’re still talking about the importance of the franchise years later, then they must have something planned for its future.

Titanfall 3 release date

Unfortunately there is no official release date for Titanfall 3. As it stands, Respawn Entertainment is busy working on several titles focused on the Star Wars universe, so until these games are out, we doubt you’ll see the third installment arriving anytime soon. Although if we were to speculate on the release date, 2025 seems to be our best guess.

Titanfall 2

In addition to the Star Wars projects, Respawn’s parent company EA has just signed a three-game deal with Marvel. The first game centered around Iron Man is likely still in early pre-production at Motive Studio. And who knows what studios might end up working on the other two.

On the one hand, if Respawn starts to develop Titanfall 3 after Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, it should arrive in 2025. In the second, and more likely scenario, Respawn could be working on a third Jedi game. There’s also a possibility that EA ends up bundling a Marvel game onto Respawn’s already busy slate. So in that case, the release date could move even further than 2025.

With EA’s focus shifting towards rolling out more and more single-player experiences, the chances are already bleak for Titanfall 3 seems to drift further away. But there have been many game franchises that have defied the odds and returned with a sequel. So for now we can only hope so Titan fall turns out to be one of them.
