Ragnarok PlayStation 4 Game Size may have been Revealed – Effinate Games

God of War: Ragnarok is just around the corner. It is probably the most anticipated game of the whole year. Although we don’t have much information about the story length and game file size, a recent leak might have revealed the actual size of the PlayStation 4.

God of War: Ragnarok file size on PS4

PlayStation Game Size on Twitter, which has previously revealed the legitimate game sizes before, has revealed GoW Ragnarok’s file size for PS4.

The user wrote that Sony had patched his size detection technique earlier this year, so he could not confirm the exact size. However, God of War: Ragnarok has updated the page, showing the game’s total size at 90.6GB on PlayStation 4.

The size is not confirmed because it is only a possibility since his size finder was patched. But according to this, we get a good idea of how much space to keep when we download the game. PlaystationSize also tweeted that the PKG size is not always correct, so there may be a change. And the size would be without any updates.

Also, some game sizes vary by region, which was the case with Horizon: Forbidden West. Given that the Horizon sequel was also in the 90GB range, GoW: Ragnarok could follow suit. Also for PlayStation 5 the size could be smaller. The PS5 uses Sony’s Kraken compressor technology, which can allegedly shrink the size of games by 60%. This is a neat move considering that SSDs are generally more expensive than HDDs.
