Pokémon Go will feature Shiny Clefairy in Harvest Moon event – Effinate Games

Pokemon Go has announced a Harvest Moon celebration that will feature a brief boost of Clefairy activity on September 10th. Only between 6pm and 9pm local time, fans will have a chance to see plenty of Clefairy as well as a Shiny version. Here’s the official tweet for the seasonal event:

Unfortunately, there’s no word on any sort of increase in shiny activity, so fans shouldn’t expect to see the rare appearance any more than usual. However, with so much Clefairy spawning, the odds could obviously be improved.

Harvest Moon is conceptually fun, a nice little nod to the day and night cycle from gold and silver. Clefairy was also always one of the first, truly mysterious Pokémon to appear in Mt. Moon of the original generation game.

So while the Harvest Moon event might not be quite as exciting as some of the big reveals for Pokémon Scarlett and Violet, Clefairy remains a fan favorite and is worth checking out. It’s just a little frustrating that the window is so short, but at least the announcement has given fans enough time to prepare, which isn’t always the case.

Also the Clefairy theme fits in too Pokemon Go’s ongoing marketing campaign for the new Season of Light which just started yesterday as the fall season approaches:

The developers also just added some brand new Partner Research for Verizon customers, which didn’t please too many. It’s only eligible for fans in the US, and Verizon users at that. It’s a shame, as many were looking forward to meeting Gengar, the classic Ghost-type that keeps popping up in every iteration of Pokémon. Here’s the Partner Research tweet for more details:
