AISNO Games has opened pre-registration for the English and Japanese versions of the upcoming tower defense gacha RPG; Path to Nowhere. This brand new anime style game has a very gothic feel and plays a lot like other super popular gacha like. Arknights or the future Girls Frontline: Neural Cloud.
Path to Nowhere began its open beta in August for Chinese audiences, and a pre-registration campaign for both the English and Japanese regions will begin soon after. With many systems taking after the latest successful gacha games, it’s definitely one you’ll want to get your hands on when it launches at a later date.
The gameplay in Path to Nowhere, like the previously mentioned Arknights, sees a tile-based map with parts you must defend. To do so, select a group of characters from the large roster and take a collection of them onto the battlefield.
From there, you position them across the stage as wave after wave of enemies come in, using their timed abilities and auto-attack patterns to keep them at bay. If this is anything like other tower defense games, it’s safe to assume that this deceptively simple gameplay loop will end up being quite difficult in the later stages, requiring a lot of strategic placement and quick thinking.
On top of this, as is normal for most gacha games, you’ll be able to upgrade all your units and make sure they stay on par with the higher level content. This will improve not only their stats, but also the effectiveness of their abilities.
The most unique part of Path to Nowhere is definitely the striking visuals. The art style gives off a lot of gothic vampire vibes, with deep red and black hues adorning most of the characters. The general setting seems cyberpunk in nature, but the colors really make it stand out from other genre contemporaries, making it quite gloomy.
If you would like to pre-register for Path to Nowhere now, you can do so at one of the links below. In the meantime, you can also check official website for more information and screenshots as well.
