Final Fantasy 7: Reunion releasing December 13 – Effinate Games

Originally released on April 10, 2020, the Final Fantasy 7 remake took fans of the franchise by storm. Now, two years later, we get the second part of the three-part story. On December 13, gamers will be able to get their hands on Final Fantasy 7: Reunion, which launches on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

This information comes from Final Fantasy 7’s official Twitter account, which teased the game with a great trailer that shows some of what we can see in December.

This second part of a three-part remake, Reunion, will be the remake’s version of Crisis Core. For those unfamiliar with Crisis Core and wondering why the player character has changed, fear not; Reunion is a prelude to the events of Intergrade and features Zack Fair, a young member of SOLDIER. You will still see Cloud in this game and he should return as the player character in the third part of the series.

However, fans of the series should not expect a copy of the original Crisis Core. As noted by fans, the timeline in Intergrade is noticeably different from the original Final Fantasy 7, implying that the remake series takes place in a separate universe. Therefore, we can also expect some potentially significant story changes in this version of Crisis Core.

Regardless, it’s exciting to see some of Crisis Core’s beloved characters transformed into next-gen systems. Angeal, Sephiroth, and Genesis will all be present, and it looks like you’ll be able to play with some of them in your party.
