Deathloop is coming to Xbox, no longer PlayStation exclusive – Effinate Games

Almost a year since it was released as a PlayStation console exclusive, new ads confirm Deathloop coming to Xbox.

The news comes via new ads on the Xbox console’s dashboard, allowing users to actually pre-order the game (via The edge).

Since the game launches for PC and PS5 on September 14th, it is likely that the game will be released on Xbox today. From here, the second Bethesda PS5 console exclusive Ghostwire: Tokyo likely to come to Xbox in March 2023.

The game was made for a timed console exclusive for the PlayStation 5 between Sony and Bethesda before Microsoft bought Zenimax Media and Bethesda, but after the deal went through, Microsoft said it would honor previous exclusivity agreements.

However, despite the earlier promise, Microsoft has moved to make future Bethesda games like the upcoming ones Starfield exclusive to Windows and Xbox. Their pending acquisition of Activision Blizzard will also pose the same question, but Microsoft will add its titles to Xbox Game Pass.

Deathloop has been available since September 2021 for Windows PC (via Steam), and PlayStation 5. If you missed it, you can find our review of the game here.
