Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion gets a December 13, 2022 Launch Date – Effinate Games

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 is one of Square Enix’s best Final Fantasy spinoff games. The Crisis Core remake was revealed by Square Enix in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy 7.

Many people are not aware of the game, this is because it was only launched back in 2007 on the portable PlayStation. It still offers a great FF experience just like the rest of the series. The game was announced for the release frame of winter 2022. However, Square Enix has announced a solid release date.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion Release Date

Cris Core Reunion is finally set to launch on December 13, 2022 thanks to an official announcement from the FFVII Twitter on the 15th anniversary of Crisis Core.

More about the game

In a prequel adventure to the original games, Crisis Core follows Zack Fair, the soldier 2nd class associated with Cloud Strife in Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII Remake.

You can find additional information about the game from Square Enix blog. The blog gives us a lot of insight into the game as well as its combat. Players will be able to quickly choose which skills to use during a battle, as the game combines real-time combat with a command system. We can also see some of that in the trailer.

The game will also feature a mechanism called the Digital Mind Wave. This can cause unpredictable outcomes on the battlefield, including access to potent Limit Break attacks. The mechanism will allow Zack to summon help from others at times.

The game will also see a lot of characters from previous games making an appearance. You can find a full list of all the characters and battle mechanics from the Square Enix blog mentioned above.

While the original Crisis Core Reunion only launched on the PlayStation Portable, this time around it features a bunch of other platforms. These include Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC. However, the original Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 will be a PlayStation exclusive.

Did you play the game on PSP when it was released in 2007? What are your expectations for the reunion? Let us know in the comments below.
