Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is the next iteration of the Battle Royale format in the long-running FPS franchise. While reception has been middling, there has been plenty of innovation to keep players interested. But as with any fresh start, there are plenty of glitches and bugs, ranging from game-breaking to humorous. For example, there is a specific error that falls somewhere between these two labels. This is because it makes some players invisible to their enemies, completely unbeknownst to them, giving them an undeserved advantage.
When this bug was first reported, many might have written it off as hearsay or an outlier. But ever since the first report, players have been coming out of the woodwork to confirm the existence of this particular bug, and there’s been a mount catalog with video evidence to back it up. Furthermore, public figures such as streamers and YouTubers have been able to show instances of this bug and raise the alarm for an urgent fix.
To put it into perspective, this invisibility bug makes a player undetectable by some players, while others can see them normally. Below we have an example of this from XSET streamer Evan ‘SuperEvan’ Moore, whose video is pretty clear evidence that this bug is a problem for the game.
What’s worrying is that there hasn’t been any official acknowledgment from Infinity Ward developers, which means this bug will stick around for a while yet. It’s unknown if they’re looking into ways to fix it, as they’ve been quiet on the matter so far, and there haven’t been any updates involving it on their open Trello boards. This means that players will have to contend with sometimes invisible players for a while, but with the voices of the community getting louder, the developers will soon have to act and fix the problem.
